PowerLiens.com – Union City
Union City was incorporated into the United States of America in 1959 and is a part of the Alameda County, California. Union City has been a part of the United States of America for more than fifty years. The first inhabitants of Union City were John and William Horner, who founded a small part of today’s Union City. They had called the area Union City. During the year of 1854, Union City and a part of New Haven together became a new town called Alvarado. After Alvarado and Decoto, a nearby town, came under the threat of annexation in 1950, they merged together and formed today’s Union City in 1959. They decided to keep the name the city originally had been given by John and William Horner.
